Community Development Ministry signs agreement to support elderly
Dubai - Arab Today

The Ministry of Community Development has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, MoC, with Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Centre, a subsidiary of Emirates Healthcare Company, to support UAE families with social care and development.

The agreement was signed by Sana Mohammad Suhail, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Community Development, and Dr. Georges Feghali, COO of Emirates Healthcare Company.

The cooperation agreement aims at achieving the strategic objectives of the ministry, which seeks to support the UAE families and provide social care, development and sustainable services to the beneficiary segments.

Under the agreement, Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Centre will provide medical support and home care services to the elderly across all its branches in the UAE. Additionally, Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Centre will participate in all social activities organised for people with special needs and the elderly in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Sana Suhail said, "The ministry's agreement with Emirates Healthcare Company is in line with our efforts to support the Federal Government’s Vision 2021. We aim to provide the highest quality social services while developing strategic alliances between federal and local government entities, together with the private sector, to uplift families in need. As an organisation, we remain committed to empowering people with special needs and the elderly of our society."

Dr. Feghali said, "We take great pride in collaborating with the Ministry of Community Development on this noble initiative. Emirates Healthcare Company has always been committed to supporting national development and our recent partnership with the ministry is a testament to this dedication. As an organisation, we have taken inspiration from our wise leadership to develop programmes and services that benefit social communities across the UAE. While the recent agreement will help us provide social care and development to Emirati families through our rehab and home care services."
