Iraqi Government Forces
Baghdad - Najlaa Al Taee

Head of Security Commission in Anbar province of Iraq announced on Tuesday that the province needs more troops to secure the liberated areas from the Islamic State (ISIS) militants. Meanwhile, violent battles continue for the third day in a row in the western and west-southern axes in Mosul between government forces and ISIS militants, who still control large areas in Anbar.
An officer from Anbar told Arabs Today that the military intelligence received information about ISIS preparations to launch several attacks at different areas in Anbar. He added that the government forces imposed a curfew on the province in anticipation to expected attacks and employed armored vehicles on the outskirts of the area in cooperation with the tribes.
The residents of Anbar fear of the return of ISIS militants in light of the government's delay in the full liberation of the other occupied areas, which raised criticism against the government because it decided to move its forces to liberate Mosul instead of imposing control on Anbar.
