The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Insurance Authority, has launched its 'Cinema' campaign across all its cultural centres as part of the Cultural Summer Programme.

During the campaign, numerous cartoons displaying various messages designed to strengthen, enhance and protect national identity will be played, as well as raising awareness of the importance of insurance to protect one’s health.

Ahmed Al Suraei, Director of the Cultural Centres Department, said "The cultural summer programme works on building the personalities of participants, and, most importantly, enhancing their national identity and increasing their sense of belonging and loyalty. The programme also focuses on adding to participants' various skills needed to deal with different situations of life, and works on preparing them for life in general by enhancing their self-confidence, logical thinking, decision-making and accountability. This is what the 'Cinema' initiative hopes to achieve."

He added, "Thanks to the comprehensive plan set by the Higher Committee, the programme will continue with events and activities attracting the younger generation in its final week, in addition to its ongoing fixed workshops. Both the Ministry and the Higher Committee were keen to provide all the necessary tools for the success and development of the activities and events during the past weeks."

Meanwhile, as part of the Summer Programme, Ras al-Khaimah Culture Centre organised a lecture on Social Responsibility, in cooperation with RAK Police. The lecture discussed the role of moral values in reinforcing ones behaviour. The centre also organised a lecture about National Service which included an explanation on the importance of the values of loyalty and the sense of true belonging to the homeland, reinforcing the concept of preserving national unity and supporting the wise leadership.

Umm Al Qaiwain Culture Center, in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, organized a First Aid Workshop which included practical applications of first aid and focused on the most common accidents which can take place, including drowning, fainting, suffocation and burns
