Mobily organized introductory visits for Computer Science & IT students of King Saud University and Telecom & Networking engineering students of Prince Sultan University to Al-Malga Data Center in Riyadh.
Mobily aims to introduce the students to the practical aspects of what they are studying in their curriculums. Mobily data centers are among the best centers in the Kingdom and have won international classifications, such as, Tire IV and Tire III from UPTIME Institute, which specializes in evaluating data centers worldwide.
The students listened to a detailed explanation on how data centers support Mobily infrastructure in relation to billing services, customer care, and operating systems, in addition to cloud computing and managed services provided by the company.
They also learned how operations continue in data centers during emergencies, and the security settings conducted by Mobily to ensure providing the best services to its clients.
The students expressed their delight at being able to visit the data center and thanked Mobily for its support.
They also praised the infrastructure of Al-Malga Data Center, which boasts of state-of-the-art technologies.
Mobily is setting a precedent by opening data centers to universities, in line with its social responsibility role of informing educational authorities on the latest technologies. It aims to exchange international and advanced expertise through these visits.
