Blast in Pakistan
Islamabad - KUNA

At least 27 people were injured on Wednesday night as a blast hit in a busy market of Quetta city of southwestern Pakistan.
The explosion resulted from a device planted at Liaquat market, outside a shop on Prince Road, Razzaq Cheema, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), told the local media.
"Explosives were planted in a motorcycle," he said, noting that the blast went off at the busiest time targeting the common citizens causing injuries to civilians.
The security forces cordoned off the area and a search operation went underway. The injured were shifted to the nearby Civil Hospital where an emergency was imposed. Dr Rasheed Jamali, a senior doctor at the hospital said that five injured were critical in condition. The resource rich province has been facing militants' insurgency for over a decade and militants have targeted civil and government installations several times before too.
