Yemen and Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) signed on Wednesday an agreement to contribute to finance the 4th phase of the capital's sanitation network worth of $54 million. The agreement was signed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi and AFESD Board of Directors Abdul Latif al-Hamad Al-Sa'adi hailed the AFESD's role in supporting the development in Yemen and providing the required finance infrastructure and service projects in the capital Sana'a and other governorates. AFESD has become a key partner to the development in Yemen, through its various contributions to enhance the development and stability trends in the country, he said. Al-Hamad reiterated the Fund's keenness to present the assistance to Yemen in the deferent development sectors, saying "Sana'a is not only the capital of Yemen but also of the entire Arab nation. It is part of Arab historical memory and the humanitarian heritage."
