Turkish industry world's 8th biggest producer/exporte

The Turkish steel industry became the world's eighth biggest producer and exporter, Anatolia news agency reports quoting Namik Ekinci, chairman of the Union of Steel Exporters (CIB) as saying on Sunday. Ekinci stated that Turkey's exports of steel in August went up 4.5% when compared to the same month a year ago and reached a value of 1.3 billion USD. According to Ekinci, Turkish exports of steel reached a value of 10.6 billion USD between January and August, 2012.
