Employment in industrial sector in Turkey rose 4.2% in the April-June quarter of 2012 over the same period a year earlier, the country's statistics authority said Wednesday. The figure, as Anatolia news agency reports, was also up by 1.8% from the January-March quarter of this year, TurkStat said, adding that the three-month industrial employment index stood at 109.8 points. Hours worked in the sector in Q2 increased by 2.9% y-o-y, and it was up by 0.8% over the first quarter of 2012, TurkStat said.
