The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim, has affirmed that the Sudan exports of livestock during 2012 amounted to 3.7 million heads contributed with more than 720 million dollars to the gross domestic product (GDP). He said, in statement to SUNA following the address of President Al-Bashir to the National Legislature Monday, that the speech of the President came in an important time enshrining a number of good tidings in the political and economic domains where he shed lights on the importance and contribution of the animal resources in the economic growth. The minister stressed that his ministry would press ahead in concerning with the national herd through creation of conducive climate for exporting more livestock to boost economic progress.
