Within efforts of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to support the developmental programs in Africa, seven agreements of worth $136 million between the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and a number of African countries were signed here today on the sidelines of the 3rd Arab-Africa Summit held in Kuwait. The African countries are Uganda, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Chad, Sierra Leone, Mauritania and Mozambique. The agreements were signed by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Fund for Development, and the ministers of the relevant African countries. The agreements aim to fund a number of developmental projects in order to alleviate poverty and improve living conditions for the poor people in those countries.
