Qatar Petroleum (QP) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with North Atlantic College, Qatar (CNA-Q) to organizing cooperation between the two sides in areas related to training and voccational development of QP staff. The MoU was signed by HE Dr. Mohammed Saleh Abdulla Al Sada, minister of industry and energy who is also QP board chairman and Vice Chair of CNA-Q Executive Committee Dr. Latifa Ibrahim al Houty. The MoU is expected to formulate a close relationship between the two sides for developing and carrying out technical, professional, and institutional training programmes as well as conducting joint applied researches. Following the signing of the MoU at QP Headquarters, HE Dr. Al sada said this new agreement confirms QP commitment to the comprehensive development of its staff and its keenness on providing them with diversified opportunities to gain further skills, development and training in order to enhance their capacities and confidence in good performance of their duties. He expressed confidence meantime in the ability of local educational institutions, such as CNA-Q, to provide high-quality training programmes that would consequently open up prospects of joint cooperation between CNA-Q and QP in the field of training and development. For her part, Dr. Al-houty said CNA-Q maintains a close partnership relations with since its foundation in Doha which contributed to the success actualized by the company over the past years. The MoU is the third for CNA-Q to sign this year with educational institutions and a non-profit organization. Early in January CNA-Q signed a similar MoU with Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, followed by another cooperation agreement with Qatar University in May.
