The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on his 5 day foreign visit to China said that the present government is pro-business and pro-investment friendly regime which would welcome the Chinese and other foreign investment for addressing the energy issues, said an official press release on Saturday. While addressing Pakistan-China Energy Forum the Pakistani premier said, "he was leading the government to pull the country out of the economic melt-down." Resolution of energy issues was the top priority of his government and they would welcome all the Chinese and foreign investment in this regard, he added. Over 50 prominent Chinese investors attended the Pakistan-China Energy Forum in Shanghai. Moreover, the premier urged the Chinese company Huawei to establish a research centre in Pakistan to equip youngsters with latest trends of information technology. During his journey from Beijing to Shanghai through train, the premier discussed power and infrastructure projects with different delegates with regard to Pakistan. The Vice President of Huawei Technology Limited, Tang Qibing expressed his interest in a Pak-China Optic Fiber project and briefed the Prime Minister about the cost estimates of the work. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif expressed willingness to introduce a high-speed train facility for the people of Pakistan as well.
