The Myanmar-Japan Center was opened at the headquarters of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) here on Friday aimed at promoting human resources development in the country, local media reported Saturday. The Myanmar-Japan Center was jointly launched by the UMFCCI and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) , said the Daily Eleven. The government officials and employees from economic sectors will be given training by Japanese experts at the center. The center will help technology and human resources needed for small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. JICA Chairman Akihiko Tanaka pledged at a recent meeting with Myanmar Minister of Commerce U Win Myint that the agency will continue to support economic, social and financial sectors of Myanmar. The Myanmar-Japan Center launched in Yangon is the tenth of its kind in ASEAN countries.
