Kuwaiti activists began on Thursday distributing 500 ton of food supplies among the Syrian refugees who fled to Jordan. Ayed Al-Shemeri, chief organizer of the campaign, told KUNA that the assistances were donated by Fahad Al-Ahmad Charity and Kuwait Committee for Solidarity with Syrian People (KARAMA), noting that the first consignment has already been distributed to refugees, around 250 ton of supplies. Al-Shemeri added the first patch, carried out by 10 shipping trucks, out of 21 trucks, is in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemi Charity Institution for Syrian Refugees. The Kuwaiti official noted that the rest of aid trucks will arrive within two weeks. Al-Shemeri said that the aid campaign is planning to distribute one million ton of supplies in the near future. The Kuwaiti official praised the Jordanian side for easing restrictions and help make the aid reaches to the refugees.
