Jordan's overall public debt rose by 16.9 % at the end of 2011, official figures has showed . Total debt reached JD13.402 billion at the end of 2011 compared with JD11.463 billion in 2010, the figures indicated. The figures released last Thursday by the Ministry of Finance indicated that domestic revenues stood at JD 4198.9 million in 2011 compared with JD4261.1 million in 2010. Excluding foreign assistance, the deficit will reach JD2602.9 million compared with JD1446.9 million in 2010, the ministry’s figures indicated. Also, total expenditures reached JD6801.8 million in 2011 compared with JD5708 million in 2010.
