They don’t even have the iPhone 5 in their hands yet, but already some people have taken to EBay to sell the highly sought device at hiked prices. According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, the iPhone 5 has started showing up on EBay, and some units are selling for insane amounts, including one 64 GB model that is currently going for $9,901. It has more than 30 bids already. Apple is selling the model for $399 with a two-year contract. Typical prices are more modest though still a lot higher than retail. A white 16 GB model sold for $900, which is just $250 more than its retail price but $700 more than its price on a two-year contract. One person is selling a 64 GB model for $1,375 while another user has already received 28 bids for two 16 GB models, which are currently going for $1,350. Others, though, aren’t bothering with auctions and instead are simply listing their devices at Buy It Now prices. One person is selling two 16 GB iPhone 5s for $2,500 total. Another seller, meanwhile, has listed two 64 GB iPhone 5s for $3,200. Apple began taking pre-orders for U.S. customers last Friday and will begin selling them at retail stories on Friday.
