PT Dirgantara Indonesia/Indonesian Aerospace produced its first complete main fuselage assembly for Eurocopter EC725 and EC225 helicopters. The assembly, consisting of integrated upper and lower fuselage sections, is the result of a $43 million order from Eurocopter, which expands the industrial relationship established with PT Dirgantara Indonesia/Indonesian Aerospace in 2008. "IAe is a key supplier in Eurocopter's global supply chain and an important part of the EC225/725 helicopter family's industrial network," said Ludovic Boistot, chief executive officer of the Eurocopter Indonesia subsidiary. "The first integrated fuselage assembly's handover demonstrates the vitality of our cooperation with IAe, which will continue to evolve in meeting Indonesia's helicopter needs and the evolution of its aerospace sector." The assembly was produced at IAe's facility in Bandung, West Java, where it also produces tail booms for the helicopters. Its target is production of one integrated fuselage every 10 weeks and one tail boom every three weeks beginning next year.
