iGuzzini has hosted an international economic forum in Recanati to enhance and promote the ongoing cooperation between Italy and UAE. The four-day forum, held on the occasion of the Endurance Marche 2012, which ran from June 14 to 17, featured both sport and economic initiatives. The forum, ‘A possible future between Italy and UAE’, was attended by UAE Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, who was leading a high level delegation from UAE governmental institutions and private sectors accompanied by the President of the Marche region, Gian Mario Spacca. During the forum, attended by over 140 local companies from the Marche region and 50 firms along with seven investment funds from the UAE, has been a significant occasion to explore further opportunities to develop the ongoing cooperation between the countries. Important representatives from the entrepreneurial and the institutional sectors from both the countries has joined the event, sharing models, ideas and inputs to implement the privileged bilateral relations between Italy and the UAE. During the forum, E. Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce in Dubai, and Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, chief executive of Khalifa Fund, stressed the importance of building new partnerships and promote economic exchanges between the two countries. The several business to business meetings and economic workshops, which were also part of the event, also confirmed the positive outcome of the forum acting as promising presuppositions for the next steps to take next to strengthen and implement further the synergy between Italy and the UAE. By hosting the international forum, iGuzzini has once again reinforced its crucial relation with the Gulf countries: present in the Middle east since 2008 with a regional office in Dubai. It has recently expanded its regional network with operational satellite offices and local territory management in Doha (Qatar) and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) with plans in place to also be operative in Jeddah. During the four-day event, the iGuzzini showroom was also visited by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, which has been toured by the most innovating luminaries accompanied by the iGuzzini President Adolfo Guzzini along with the iGuzzini vice-president Paolo Guzzini. Also present during the visit Richard Holmes, regional director of iGuzzini Middle East and Sergio Padula, technical design manager, at iGuzzini Middle East. The minister was introduced to a selection of iGuzzini latest products, which combine state-of-the-art technology with creative design, firstly displayed at the Light + Building Frankfurt last April.
