Egyptian businessmen Ahmed Abou Hashema, the chairman of Egyptian Steel, called on Turkish businessmen to contribute to re-operating steel factories that are still stalled in the country. Turkish investors can do business in Egypt's steel industry with any percentage to create jobs and increase the national production. "Egypt is in need for a real partnership with Turkey," he told the Egypt-Turkey Steel Forum in Cairo. Addressing the gathering, Ahmed Galaldeen, the head of the International Business and Investment Association, said Turkey is the world's eighth-largest producer of iron and steel as it produced 38 million tons last year. Turkey wants to allow its expertise in this industry to Egypt, he said He notedd trade exchange between Egypt and Turkey hits five billion dollars.
