President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Wednesday said that the security challenges will be overcome when development and investments begin in Yemen. During his meeting with Russian businessmen in the office of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the President talked about the economic and investment incentives in Yemen saying that they are promising in many fields, topped by minerals, cement, fisheries and agriculture. He called the Russian Oil Gasprom to return to explore oil and gas in the blocks the company has worked in before, stressing that the government will provide all the facilities. Gasprom's return will be a motivation and also a guarantee for the new Russian investments in the country, Hadi said, pointing that Yemen now needs 4000 MW electric power and a railway to link Yemeni governorates with each other and with neighboring countries as well. "We, in Yemen, have needs in five sectors, which are electricity, water, health, education and roads." The President reviewed with the Russian businessmen the situation in the country as well as the investment climate and opportunities.
