Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel-Nour said that he is coordinating with the European Union (EU) to start the implementation of the 20 million euro technical aid program, which is granted by the EU to Egypt. The program aims to provide Egypt with technical and technological assistance in order to improve foreign trade system, the industrial sector and infrastructure. During his meeting with James Moran, the ambassador of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt, Abdel-Nour noted that the program has been delayed due to political conditions in Egypt through the last two years. The meeting also tackled boosting bilateral relations and means of enhancing economic cooperation between Egypt and the EU. The two sides have also discussed the possibility of increasing intra-regional trade and joint investments during the upcoming period.
