The Minister of Investment, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, is to pay a visit to Sennar State on Tuesday to get acquainted with the investment projects and to review the investment laws, regulations, structures and incentives in the state. Dr. Ismail said in statement to SUNA that the visit comes in the context of the efforts being exerted by the government to solve all the impediments facing the investment action in the country, urging importance of coordination between the centre and the states concerning data collection and development of national investment map. The minister affirmed the need to come out with a scientific vision to cope with the development in the investment process, adding that organization of investment activities in Sudan will contribute to the attraction of investors. He emphasized importance of setting a united methodology for the national investment map on which the investment future will be based. He revealed that the investment map would change the investment image in Sudan. He called for the need to direct the investment towards the states to create more development and services to the citizens, stressing that the responsibility of investment promotion is integrated between the centre and the states.
