Social Development Minister Fatima Al Blushi stressed the ministry’s increasing care for Bahraini productive families through a gradual work plan that includes grooming workers in this field, passing legislation and encouraging marketing products. She praised the kingdom’s pioneering initiatives, including approving Bahrain’s proposal to celebrate the Arab Day for the Encouragement of Productive Families in March and legalizing the productive families’ work. She was speaking as she opened at Adhari Park the fourth edition of “Made in My Home” exhibition, in the presence of senior officials and with the participation of 40 Bahraini productive families. The exhibition will continue daily throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan where various products have gone on display, including perfumes, clothes, pottery, accessories, spices, handbags, antiques and food. The Social Development Minister pointed out that the ministry had allocated a yearly budget of BD 200,000 to market and advertise the Bahraini productive families’ products. She described the award of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), as an annual stimulus.
