His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister emphasized, as he launched a ship "Bahrain's Vision", that the government encourages adoption of initiatives and tools and conducting of activities which boost the Kingdom of Bahrain's investment status and support the country's economic progress, and remarked that the launching of the carrier ship "Bahrain's Vision" constitutes the gateway to new investments and symbolizes mutual cooperation in joint ventures in the energy sector and herald our persistent struggle to move on from regional pioneering to global competition, in addition to translating the government's strides in preparing vital strategic warehousing for the various sectors.His Royal Highness the Prime Minister pointed out that the government has adopted a new strategy for investment in the oil and gas sector by channeling investment into the fields of energy transportation, citing the Ship "Bahrain's Vision) as the harbinger of investments which extend in its concept beyond the oil and transportation sector to carry the name of Bahrain all over the world and express cooperation and love with the various countries of the world.His Royal Highness the Prime Minister said that "the government has been working over the past decades to create modernized infrastructures to support investment in the oil and gas sector and that the Kingdom of Bahrain has become a major destination for maritime transportation as a result of logistics services provided by the government through the advanced potentials made available in its modern seaports.His Royal Highness the Prime Minister stressed that the progressive development plans adopted by the government always need the launching of new formulas for investment in the energy field which is the major lifeline that supports development, pointing out that the government gives top priority to strategic issues pertaining to the oil sector in order to support national development goals. His Royal Highness the Prime Minister patronized this morning an official launching ceremony of the ship "Bahrain's Vision".The launching ceremony began with a speech by Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza who said: "It is a great honor for me to stand in front of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister to express due recognition and respect and to celebrate another new achievement in a series of achievements that contribute into the Kingdom's renaissance as we name and launch the first oil, gas and petrochemical products carrier which hoists the flag and the name of our beloved Kingdom and its future vision. This ship is a symbol and carried the name of our Kingdom across the borders all over the world to the continents and oceans which reminds us with our ancestors who conquered the seas in journeys which began from these beautiful islands to the commercial capitals of the world in India, Africa and beyond.The Minister emphasized that the ship "Bahrain's Vision" has been designed especially and custom-made to our requirements and the requirements of the ship owners (Skaugen Gulf Company). The ship was built recently in China with dimension of 152 in length and in consideration for the cost of USD 55 million. The ship is unique of its kind and serves dual purposes in conveyance of various products as it is capable of carrying oil, petrochemicals and liquefied gas products. The chairman of the International Peace Council Mr. Terry Larson cited the relationships between Norway and the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as his personal relation with the Kingdom of Bahrain which he described as an advanced, civilized country, and he accentuated that the ship "Bahrain's Vision" will open new horizons for the Bahraini-Norwegian relations."Skaugen Gulf Pet-chem Carrier Company" Board of Directors member Osama Mo'ain gave a speech in which he remarked that it was an honor to him that His Royal Highness the Prime Minister has patronized the launching ceremony of the ship "Bahrain's Vision" citing the Prime Ministers' great huge, unlimited support for vital projects in the field of petroleum and energy which contribute in the Kingdom of Bahrain's progress and development and boosts our national economy and places Bahrain's name and renown for being an attractive, friendly investments hub.Board of directors member Osama Mo'ain reiterated that the launching of the ship "Bahrain's Vision" is a practical embodiment achieved on reality upon the grace of Allah and encouragement from His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and his directives to make a success of this mammoth vital project which will add the Kingdom of Bahrain's name to the list of world pioneering countries in the field of energy development and transportation exploiting absolutely easy and safe, secure and eco-friendly methodology.CEO and chairman of the board of directors of the ship owning company "Skaugen Gulf Company" Mr. Morris Skaugen said that "Bahrain's Vision" is your vision and ours and that's why we have chosen to come to Bahrain and made this country as our company's base in the GCC.Our choices is in harmony with the typical stride made by this country which is the first GCC country in which oil was discovered, citing the regional and international advanced status enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain and praising His Royal Highness the Prime Minister for his utmost keenness to develop the oil and petrochemicals sector and thus support the economic development and increase revenues and encourage development programs. The, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister launched the ship "Bahrain's Vision" plies through GCC and international waters carrying LPG and petrochemical products from the GCC to south eastern Asian countries namely China.
