The Arab League and the Sudanese government decided under a joint mechanism to allocate 3 million dollars for humanitarian projects in Darfur, South Kurdufan and Blue Nile provinces along with 250,000 dollars for securing yellow fever vaccines for Darfuris. The Kurdufan and Blue Nile projects are expected to be finalized in January, Sudanese Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Suliman Abdul-Rahman said in press statements following the 7th meeting on the joint mechanism that was held Tuesday evening in Khartoum. Abdul-Rahman noted that the mechanism's coming meeting will be held in Cairo. During the coming meeting, the conferees will watch a documentary film on the projects carried out by the Cairo-based Arab League in Sudan. AL African department chief Samir Hosni said the yellow fever vaccines will be available for Dafuris within a week at the most.
