Following the success it enjoyed last year, the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development (ADCED) has today launched the latest session of its Dirhami initiative public exhibition stand at Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI). Designed as an interactive maze, the Dirhami stand poses questions on managing finances personally and professionally, and visitors can compete by entering a series of passages with the aim of reaching the end of the maze successfully, or falling into a simulated jail trap. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with Dirhami's mascot, Dr. Dirham, which was designed to champion financial literacy and reach out to the community in Abu Dhabi, enabling them to make sound financial decisions, increasing their understanding on personal finances, and promoting rationalised spending and budget planning. To surprise visitors, star players from top Abu Dhabi football clubs such as Al Ain, Al Jazeera, Al Wahda, and Bani Yas will be visiting the stand as brand ambassadors. The exhibition's stand will also feature a series of interactive activities including the "pledge palm tree", in which visitors write pledges to save a certain proportion of their incomes, or to curb their expenses by buying only what is necessary. Children will also be welcomed to participate in the colouring corner's activities at the stand, where they can interact with Dr. Dirham, play games, and receive goody-bags containing Dirhami-branded money boxes to encourage them towards saving. In this regard, Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani, ADCED's Director General, said, "Following the success and popularity of last year's stand and its interactive activities, we have decided to launch the exhibition stand again this year, and partner up with strategic stakeholders to raise financial awareness amongst Abu Dhabi residents and provide them with all the required resources and information to make sound financial decisions, both in their personal and professional lives. The stand at Marina Mall will enable us to directly communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds, raising their financial awareness and providing them with the necessary skills to manage their finances better."
