The storage capacity of grain silos has reached 2.52 million tons as a result of new expansion projects carried out by Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization (GSFMO) which provides a strategic reserve of wheat enough for the Kingdom's consumption for a period of 10 months. The Organization's Director General, Eng. Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, said in the annual report of the Organization for the last year that the Organization has achieved numerous developments through its activities spanning over 40 years since its inception, noting that as a result of expansion and establishment of new flour mills, the milling capacity rose to 11,280 tons of wheat a day to reach a total of 2.4 million tons for this year, up 5.8% from the last year.
