Qatar Exchange gained 91.91 points (+0.76 percent) as it closed Monday at 12,235.92 points up from the previous closing of 12,144.01.
The volume of shares traded increased to 10,146,931 from 5,337,151 on Sunday, and the value of shares rose to QR475,629,196.15 from QR251,101,773.29.
Among the top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar whose share was up 0.72 percent to QR 69.90 and Qatar Islamic Bank with a 2.57 percent added to QR 103.60 per share. Vodafone Qatar gained 2.32 percent to QR 18.05 and Nakilat rose by 0.20 percent to QR 24.99.
Banking and financial services sector was up 1.26 percent to 3,271.39 points while Industries sector down 0.12 percent 4,035.39 points. Real estate sector added 0.81 percent to 2,410.1 points and Consumer Goods & Services sector added 0.08 percent to 7,165.74 points.
From the 43 listed companies shares of 41 saw trading today. From these, 26 gained, 12 declined and two remained unchanged.
