The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has announced that Sunday, 12th of January 2014, will be a holiday for the financial markets to mark the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) birthday. Trading will resume the next day, Monday, 13th of January, the SCA said in a statement. The SCA congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, on the occasion.
