South Korean tech firms expand facility investment

South Korea's leading tech companies including Samsung Electronics Co. have been expanding their investment in facilities both at home and abroad despite expectations of lackluster third-quarter earnings, industry sources said Sunday.
Samsung has been pushing ahead with local projects to build an industrial complex in Pyeongtaek, 70 kilometers south of Seoul, and a high-end research and development (R&D) center in southern Seoul within next year.
