Beijing - QNA

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday said China is willing to carry out industrial cooperation with Malaysia to help boost mutual development.

"As China is now in the middle stage of industrialization, we have sufficient and advanced industrial capacity in many sectors, and we are willing to share it with Malaysia," Li was quoted by Chinese News Agency (Xinhua) as saying in his meeting with visiting Malaysian Senate President Abu Zahar.

Li said the two countries enjoy broad prospects for cooperation in building infrastructure such as railways, highways and electricity networks.

He said the Chinese government highly values its ties with Malaysia, and hopes to enhance cooperation and exchanges between the two governments, parliaments, parties and peoples.

The Chinese premier said he expected Malaysia to make new contributions to strengthening the China-ASEAN partnership during its rotating ASEAN chairmanship this year.

Abu Zahar said Malaysia is ready to facilitate closer cooperation and cultural exchanges with China.

Malaysia appreciates China's efforts to cement ties with the ASEAN, he said, calling for closer ASEAN-China cooperation in trade, culture, and education.
