China's lottery sales reached 251.64 billion yuan (41.29 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of 2013, up 19.2 percent year on year, the Ministry of Finance said on Thursday. During this period, welfare lottery sales reached 143.55 billion yuan, an increase of 16.6 percent year on year, and sports lottery sales rose 22.9 percent year on year to 108.08 billion yuan.
