Dameitta port closed over bad weather

Transport Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Ibrahim said Damietta Port was closed on Sunday due to bad weather conditions.
Wind velocity reached 35 knots with waves up to three meters high, he added.
The decision was taken to maintain safety of vessels and to protect port berths, he further said.
The port will be reopened to ship traffic as soon as the weather gets better.
