The Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning highlighted its experiment in the application of the strategic information systems and transformation to eServices, in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain's hosting the UN delegation for the second time consecutively.
The delegation comprises representatives from 21 nations.
During the visit, Chief of the Ministry’s Technical Services Department Ghada Abdul Rahim delivered a presentation highlighting the Ministry’s model in applying strategic information systems and transforming into eServices. The eServices can be accessed on the eGovernment portal or the Ministry’s web page www.works.gov.bh.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed the Ministry’s achievements and asked questions related to the Ministry’s expertise in the application of strategic information systems and transforming into eServices.
The complete program that has been organized by the eGovernment Authority (EGA), in collaboration with the Bahraini Society for Information Technology, comprises of intensive visits aiming to introduce the delegation to the Authority’s national projects linked to the technology sector, and that of other governmental institutions as well. The visits include the Central Informatics Organization, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Civil Service Bureau, Ministry of Social Development, Bahrain Investment Center, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Silah Gulf.
