Gulf Air
Manama - BNA

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently hosted a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Gulf Air's Board of Directors Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and the airline's three trade unions, in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Chairman of Gulf Air's Board Executive Committee Kamal Bin Ahmed, and Gulf Air Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Maher Salman AlMusallam.
During the meeting, which took place at Gulf Air's headquarters in Muharraq, representatives and members of the national carrier's three unions discussed issues pertaining to staff in an active two-way dialogue with Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
Gulf Air's three existing unions consist of the Gulf Air Trade Union, Flight Attendants’ General Trade Union National Labour Union of Gulf Air and Flight Attendants’ General Trade Union represented by Yousif Ahmed Hassan, Zuhair Ali Aloraibi and Ahmed Al Kuwaiti respectively.
All stakeholders including the airline's unions were actively involved in developing Gulf Air's 2013 restructuring strategy.
The national carrier's ongoing positive financial and operational results, to date, have positioned it firmly on-track towards achieving long-term commercial sustainability, strengthening its position as a key national infrastructure asset that provides business links which are important for the Kingdom of Bahrain's economic development.
