Damascus - SANA

The General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) continues the distribution of humanitarian aid among the people besieged by the terrorists at Rama Street in Yarmouk Camp.
Aid distribution is supported by the Syrian Government under the supervision of the Higher Commission for Relief.
The GAPAR Director General Ali Mustafa pointed out that the Authority and the UNRWA on Tuesday distributed 495 food baskets containing bread, marmalade and canned food, as the number of the food baskets which have been distributed since January 30th reached 37,487 while the number of the medical baskets hit 3,776.
Seven patients were also evacuated from inside the camp and admitted at Damascus hospitals. The total number of the patients who have been evacuated from the camp since January 30th reached 4,443.
Mustafa indicated that Noor Association for Relief, Development and Progressive Youth continues to provide vaccines against some diseases to those who come to the aid distribution site.
He hailed the efforts exerted by the Syrian Government in supporting the Palestinian people and easing their suffering under the unjust siege imposed by the terrorist groups in al-Yarmouk Camp.
