London - Arabstoday

The 2014 BMW i8 was caught testing in Sweden, and these spy shots are the latest pictures of the upcoming Bavarian hybrid supercar. The car is no longer in its concept trim but what appears to be a preproduction state. Check out the article and pictures for more details. The Chrysler Group lost one of its longtime performance gurus, Dan Knott, 51, after a long battle with cancer. Knott was central to the growth of Jeep and the now-famed Street and Racing Technology (SRT) unit. Celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Gallardo spyder was finally recovered--in good condition--just more than a year after it was stolen. In a daring May 2011 theft in San Francisco, Fieri's Lambo was taken from a dealership in the middle of the night, with few clues left behind. Check out the article to see how police stumbled upon the car in a storage unit rented by a 17-year old. Autoweek kicked off its Corvette Summer with a trip to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. Check out a gallery of vanity plates seen at the C5/C6 Bash at the museum, and stay tuned for lots more Corvette events and news in the coming months. The Ford Focus ST will be priced at $24,495 when it arrives in late 2012. Ford confirmed the price of the 252-hp hot hatch on its consumer site. Available options include a moonroof, navigation, tricoat paint and an engine-block heater. Does the Focus ST have what it takes to compete with the likes of the Volkswagen GTI, the Subaru WRX and the Mazda Mazdaspeed 3, among other performance imports? We look forward to finding out. The new Dodge Dart premiered at the Detroit auto show in January, and just a few short months later, we've driven it. With its low base price and bevy of options, the Dart is sure to appeal to a wide base of prospective buyers and enthusiasts. While we are still waiting for word on an SRT model, you can see how the other models stacked up in our 2013 Dodge Dart drive review and Dart video review. The Jaguar XKR-S is one popular ride around the Autoweek office. It's the most “badass Jaguar” said one editor. “I continue to be blown away,” said another. Check out the review of what might be our favorite supercharged, V8-powered Jaguar. The American muscle car is alive and well thanks to the engineers at SRT. While the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT is impressive, it is not without its criticisms. Take a read to see what Autoweek editors thought of the 470-hp four-door sedan. It was a long week for senior editor Rory Carroll and the crew from Hagerty Insurance as they embarked upon a Route 66 run with a Jensen Interceptor and a Datsun 280Z that proved more temperamental than expected. Carroll chronicles the adventure over the course of a few days. Check out the Route 66 Relocation Road Trip parts one and two. It was the opposite end of the spectrum for West Coast senior online editor Davey Johnson as he participated in the 2012 California Mille. The multiday journey brought out some of the finest classic sports cars around. Take a read through days one, two and three of his 2012 California Mille trip. For anyone who has ever considered a late-model project car, this week's Project Car Hell is for you. Japanese AWD pseudo-exotics from the 1990s have now had plenty of time to deteriorate to Hell Garage status, so check out the latest installment, which pits Mitsubishi against Subaru. For the dog lovers out there, this video will show that dogs can and do enjoy cars as much as we humans. Finally, don't forget to check out But Wait, There's More . . . for the latest in “homemade forced induction,” a German Wunderwagen and how not to handle 1,000 hp.
