There is a Palestinian consensus on the importance of the Egyptian role and efforts exerted to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League for Palestine Affairs Mohamed Sobeih said.
No Palestinian faction has called for substituting the Egyptian mediation, Sobeih said.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive here Friday for talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the developments of the Palestinian cause, he said.
