A unit of the Armed forces on Sunday foiled the attempts of armed terrorist groups to infiltrate from the Lebanese territories into Syria in Talkalakh Countryside in Homs Province. SANA reporter quoted a source in the province as saying that terrorist groups coming from the areas of al-Muqelbieh, al-Hisha and al-Rama in Lebanon tried to infiltrate to Syria through the villages of al-Musherfa, Mrasia and Baeon in Tal Kalakh Countryside as they opened fire from their machineguns and rocket shells at the border guards and the inhabitants of these villages. The source added that the armed forces confronted those groups and inflicted heavy losses on them as a number of them were either killed or injured while the others fled back to Lebanon. Terrorists fired mortar shells on the Latin Church in al-Qashleh Street in al-Qassaa neighborhood in Damascus, causing material damage to the Church's building. A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA reporter that a girl was injured due to the terrorist attack. The source added that terrorists fired another mortar shell on residential houses in Butrus al-Bustani Street in the neighborhood, causing material damage only. Units of the armed forces continued to hunt the armed terrorist groups and to target their gatherings and criminal tools and to inflict heavy losses on them in several areas in Idleb Countryside. SANA reporter quoted a source in the province as saying "A unit of the army on Sunday morning clashed with armed terrorist groups which tried to attack military checkpoints in the surrounding of Wadi al-Dayf Site, Heish and al-Hamidieh , and it inflicted heavy losses on them as they were either killed or injured and their vehicles and tools were destroyed." In Jisr al-Shughour, a source indicated that a unit of the army targeted the gatherings of the terrorists in al-Janoudieh crossroad and in the crossroad of Bkafla Town. The army units also targeted the terrorists in the villages of Majarz, Deir al-Zaghrad and Saraqeb as it eliminated a number of their vehicles and criminal tools. In Abo al-Dhuhur, several gatherings of the terrorists were attacked to the west of the city and to the south of the villages of Tal Salmou and al-Zahabieh Village as a number of the terrorists were killed and others were injured and their tools and vehicles were smashed. The source indicated that the engineering units dismantled five explosive devices, the weight of each is 50 kg, and they also dismantled a 75 kg remote-control bomb planted by the terrorists on the axis of Ariha-Mar Bleet Bridge. A military source said that army units on Sunday confronted a terrorist group which tried to attack a military checkpoint in al-Nabik area in Damascus countryside and heavy losses were inflicted upon the group's members. The source told SANA that all the members of the terrorist group were either killed or injured and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed. In the last two days, units of the army eliminated a terrorist group in the eastern farms of al-Nabik area and they confiscated RPG launchers, anti-tank rocket launcher, bombs and 20 thousand electric detonators prepared by the terrorists to be used in making bombs. In Adraa, army units inflicted heavy losses upon a terrorist group which had been committing acts of killing, kidnapping and robbery as a number of its members were arrested. Another unit of the army had destroyed a store of ammunition and two stores of weapons to the north of Yabrud City and several terrorists were killed or injured. Terrorists had earlier fought in Yabrud City over dividing stolen materials and a number of them were killed Meanwhile, units of the Armed Forces carried out a series of qualitative operations against terrorists' gatherings in Douma, Harasta, Zamalka and Erbin in Damascus Countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them. An official source told SANA reporter that one of the operations was carried out in the surrounding of Douma municipality square, in which a number of terrorists were killed, among those were Mahmud al-Tout and Khalil Badran. The source added that other Army units carried out operations against terrorists in the farms between Douma and Harasta, killing and injuring several terrorists. Mahmoud al-Namli and Yousuf al-Hamsna from the so-called "al-Farouq Battalions"  terrorist group and Samer al-Oumaren from the so-called "al-Islam Brigade" terrorist group, in addition to Ismael Nakrash and Nazer Kalifa, were identified among the killed terrorists. Meanwhile, other Army units carried out  two qualitative operations in Zamalka and Erbin, destroying vehicles used by the terrorists in their criminal acts and killing a number of them, including  Rashad Bader al-Deen, Hilmi al-Sayyed, Muhamad Hamra, Mourad Slek and Abdul Gafur Bakri. A military source told SANA that a terrorists' car convoy was targeted by the army, adding that scores of terrorist were killed and three tankers , used by terrorists to smuggle petroleum, were destroyed in al-Nabk in Damascus Countryside. Earlier, the army repelled an armed terrorist group who tried to attack a military post in al-Nabk and killed or injured all of group's members. The army seized communication devices, RPG launchers, anti-armor rockets, hand grenades and electric detonators in the outskirts of al-Nabk city. In Harasta, the army dismantled several explosive devices planted by terrorists in and around a gas station. Units of the Armed Forces and internal security forces repelled an armed terrorists group which attempted to attack the Police Academy in Khan al-Assal in Aleppo countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them. The source told SANA reporter that the Army units destroyed 4 armored vehicles, 3 cars equipped with heavy machineguns and rocket launcher which were used by the terrorists in their attack against the academy. The source added that the Army units killed and injured a large number of the terrorists, among the dead terrorists were Abdullah al-Haji Ahmad, Samer Merei and Hussein al-Salo, while the terrorists Murshed al-Khaled, the leader of the so-called "al-Mou'tasem brigade" terrorist group, was injured. The source pointed out that other Army units and Internal Security Forces foiled all former attempts of the armed terrorist groups to attack the academy, the latest was last month, in which killing and injuring most of its groups members. An Army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group which attempted to attack the Research Center in al-Mansoura, inflicting heavy losses upon them. The source clarified that an Army unit, during the clashes, destroyed two cars equipped with heavy machineguns, in addition to destroying a car along with the weapons and ammunition inside it. The Armed Forces continued its operations in Aleppo and its countryside, destroying hideouts and gatherings of the mercenary terrorists and eliminating large numbers of them. The army also eliminated scores of terrorists in Taldo, among them were Abdul-Mohsen Ghantous, leader of a terrorist group, Khaled Nathr Allah al-Qarra, Abdul-Rahman al-Shamali, Aref Assara and Abdul-Ghani Harmoush. The source said that the engineering units dismantled a 25-kg explosive device planted by terrorists near the Cultural Center in Daraa city. In Deir Ezzor, the army pursued the armed terrorist groups and killed scores of them in the areas of al-Iza'a, al-Hweka and Hitteen. A military source said that the army repelled a terrorist group that tries to attack a military post in the area of Kabajeb and killed most of the group's members and destroyed two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.
