Sanaa - SABA

Yemen and the World Food Program (WFP) discussed here on Saturday the projects presented by the program at a cost of $ 260 million, from which nearly 5 million people benefit. This came during the meeting of Minister of Fisheries Wealth Awadh al-Socotri and the Resident-Representative and country director of the WFP. In the meeting, al-Socotri confirmed the importance of the Program’s assistance for the fishermen affected by the events that have been witnessed by the Province of Abyan and the piracy acts. For his part, the WFP’s representative affirmed the keenness of the program to provide the necessary support to all segments affected by the events in Yemen including the fishermen through the training and rehabilitation so as to alleviate poverty.
