Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced Friday that he was preparing the country for a new round of socialist Bolivarian Revolution to improve food supply. Maduro asked Food Minister Felix Osorio to devise a new plan to expand the country's network of food distribution. "I guarantee the resources, (you) present the plan, the logistics, the deployment," said Maduro when presiding over the inauguration of a mass transit bus system in Guarenas in northern Miranda state. These measures are part of a new stage in the socialist Bolivarian Revolution that will seek to boost food supply, said Maduro. Maduro, who came to power with a slight majority and rules over a divided Venezuela, said the right-wing opposition has been waging psychological warfare since he won the presidency more than five months ago. "They underestimate me because I am a man of the people. They had decreed that October was the month of collapse, they think they can rule this country, to privatize healthcare, oil and the education of our children, but the people would not let them do that," said Maduro.
