Yemen and the United States signed here on Thursday an agreement to increase the annual US aid to Yemen by $20.5 million. The agreement was signed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi and US Agency for International Development (USAID) mission director to Yemen Herbie Smith. Under the agreement, $7.5 million of the US aid is allocated to boost water resource management with drip irrigation technology. The rest of the sum ($13 million) was allotted to meet the required needs to the conclusion of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) and the referendum on the constitution.
