UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Portas signed on Saturday in Abu Dhabi an agreement for economic cooperation between the two countries. They also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for bilateral cooperation in the field of health. The agreement aims to organize and develop cooperation between the two countries in various economic fields and promote cooperation in the sectors of trade and industry, agriculture, transport, information, communication technology, tourism and small and medium-scale enterprises. The Memorandum of Understanding calls to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of health with focus on management aspects of health care, public health, medical specialties, allied health, health research and exchange of experiences among health workers. They also discussed bilateral ties between UAE and Portugal and explored ways for bolstering them.
