A group of Turkish businesspeople from the Black Sea port city of Trabzon have visited the United States to attend a cruise fair in Miami, saidTrabzon governor, Recep Kizilcik, in a bid to claim a greater share in cruise tourism in Turkey. Kizilcik said the Miami cruise fair was the biggest of its kind in the world, adding that around 20 cruises docked at Trabzon's port annually and that they sought to increase the number to 100. The governor said the delegation fromTrabzon which visited Miami included the city's chamber of commerce and industry, the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) and the Trabzon Seaport Cooperation. Kizilcik said 21 cruise ships brought 12 thousand tourists to Trabzon in 2012, and "After our talks in Miami, we believe that at first stage, the number of cruises visiting Trabzon will increase from 20 to 40 and the number of tourists from 12 thousand to 30 thousand."
