Turkey's economy added 545,000 jobs in July 2012, the country's statistics authority said Monday as reported by Anatolia News agency. The jobless rate dropped by 0.7 point to 8.4% in July 2012 from the same month a year earlier, TurkStat said, adding that the number of the unemployed dropped by 186,000 y-o-y. Number of the employed was up to 24,953,000 to 25,498,000. Non-agricultural unemployment was was down to 10.7% in July 2012 from 11.8% in July 2011, and youth unemployment dropped to 16.3% from 18.3%.
