"In today's meeting with the Chinese side, it was decided that a joint committee should be formed by the two countries to pave the way for signing agreements and developing cooperation (between Iran and China)," Iran's Vice-President for Development Management and Human Resources Lotfollah Forouzandeh made the remarks after a two-hour meeting with China's Minister of Human Resources and Social Security Yin Weimin. Forouzandeh noted that Iran and China have also agreed to compile common aspects of their management models into a new model to be presented to academic centers and universities. He also stressed that Tehran and Beijing are determined to exchange their experiences in the fields of management and human resources. Forouzandeh noted that the two sides discussed manpower training proportionate to supply and demand in the labor market and the unemployment problem. China, like Russia, has consistently opposed the US pressures on Iran and the West's economic sanctions imposed on the Iranian financial sector and petroleum products. China has refused to comply with US requests to decrease oil imports from Iran and instead has increased its trade with the country. The US has announced that its sanctions will target countries that trade with Iran, but China has challenged this decision and refused to alter its policies.
