A delegation from the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, or HFZA, participated in the 3rd Muslim Business and Investment Zone Conference and Exhibition in Jakarta, with the aim of strengthening economic integration between Muslim countries. Dr Rashid Al Leem, director-general of the Sharjah Department of Seaports and Customs and Sharjah Free Zone Authority, met with Datuk Seri Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of Melaka, Malaysia. They discussed ways to enhance bilateral economic relations between both sides at the event, which concluded on Sunday. Dr Al Leem said that the event is one of the most important economic events of the Muslim world for economic and business integration. “I believe that in today’s world where tensions prevail over religious, political and other differences, conducting responsible business practices effectively serves as a way to foster peace, promote economic development and increase social harmony.
