Sharjah - WAM

The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) approved during its 10th session of first ordinary session of eighth legislative chapter held last Thursday in Sharjah, under the chairmanship of Abdul Rahman Salem Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), the draft law of 2014 on the budgets of departments and authorities of Government of Sharjah for fiscal year 2014. Al Hajri paid a rich tribute to the martyr, First Lieutenant Tareq Mohammed Al Shehhi, killed while on the duty with the two Bahraini peers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He extended on the behalf of the SCC condolences and solace to the bereaved family of the martyr. He commended the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah on the treatment of children born to Emirati mothers from foreign fathers as citizens in all fields. He added this category will be given new job grades at the public departments in the Emirate of Sharjah with effect from January. Al Hajri said the Sharjah Ruler's noble gesture aims to ensure decent living conditions for the children of Emirati mothers. He also hailed the UAE leadership's strong ties with European Union, which resulted in exempting citizens from the pre entry Schengen via requirement, noting that the step would further strengthen the relations between the UAE and EU in all fields.
