Muscat - Arabstoday

The Ministry of Manpower honoured private sector establishments for enhancing Omanisation, at a function held under the auspices of Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council. This award has been instituted to ensure real partnership with the government in activating the manpower employment programme in all fields. It also comes in a bid to encourage private sector organisations to provide incentives that ensure stability of the national manpower. The Chairman of the State Council said, "This ceremony showcases the government's keenness to honor outperformers and encourage work for the private sector." He added that representatives of the private sector, the Ministry of Manpower and the General Federation of Trade Union in the Sultanate expressed the interest of the country to translate the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said at the Royal speech before the Council of Oman about the collaboration between the public and private sectors. He called upon the private sector to translate the directives of His Majesty on the private sector's positive contribution to the development process. He affirmed that the support provided by the state to the private sector since the beginning of the Renaissance makes it a duty for it to play its role in serving the nation by providing more jobs.
