The priority in supplying equipment in the sector of hydraulics will be for "efficient" products made in Algeria, Minister of Water Resources Hocine said Thursday in M’Sila (248-km south of Algiers). During an working visit to the province, the minister inspected a private production unit of glass fibre pipe, the minister announced that a committee, in charge of delivering authorization for the import of products meant for the sector of water resources, has been set up within his the Ministry and will receive Algerian specialized industrialists soon. The capacity of local operators to meet the sector’s needs will be examined on this occasion, provided that they accept foreign competition, the minister said, reaffirming his department’s willingness to encourage local production.
